If you’re a Playstation 3 owner who ordered one of the Netflix Instant Streaming discs, you’ll be happy to know that they’ve started shipping to customer as of today. In fact, our disc is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, alongside copious amounts of junk mail, we’re sure. The disc is the only way you’ll be able to enjoy the Netflix Watch Instantly service on your PS3 for the time being, so if you want to get in on that action and haven’t already done so, go ahead and order your disc. Sony announces slimmed down PS3: $300, available September
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: PlayStation 3, Sony
One of the worst-kept secrets in the past few months has finally been confirmed, as Sony has finally announced their newer, slimmer PS3. Affectionately known as the PS3 Slim to gamers, the new PS3 is smaller, lighter, and has “all the same features” as the current PS3, according to Sony. Of course, after some digging, we did find that the PS3 Slim won’t support installing Linux on the system like its larger brethren does…but we’re guessing that not too many of you will cry over that. The PS3 Slim will also use 34% less power, and takes up 32% less space than the existing PS3. All this goodness will be available this September for $299. If you want to pick up one of the larger PS3s, those will be available in stores at a new low price, with the 80GB model selling for $299, and the 160GB model selling for $399. The PS3 Slim will pack in a 120GB hard drive.

Well, okay. Maybe not a shot at love, but something you will love—prizes. Bethesda released a music video called “Shot At Love”, which depicts victims of Rubi Malone, WET’s leading lady, singing about love (yes, really). To help spread the word, Bethesda is giving out prizes to those that share the video. Simply watch the video, register and you will be given a link to distribute among your friends and any of those lovely social media sites. The more people watch the video from you, the more chances you have to win prizes. This is what you will get:

- 50 video shares: Exclusive WET poster signed by Eliza Dushku
- Grand Prize: Custom WET bundle
So what are you waiting for? Get out there and start sharing! WET will be available for the Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3, September 15th.
Fat Princess coming to PSN imminently
Posted by Brandon Gribin Categories: Action, Downloadable Content, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Network, Release Dates
That’s right, mark your calendar because Fat Princess is hitting the PlayStation Network tomorrow, Thursday, July 30th for $14.99.
Fat Princess is a capture-the-flag style game where one team’s goal is to get the princess to its base - a castle - and the other team’s goal is to… fatten the princess up by feeding her! And naturally - the fatter the princess is, the more difficult it will be to get her to the castle.
The gameplay appears solid - and hilarious.

LEGO Rock Band hands-on
Posted by Alex Lifschitz Categories: E3, Music, PlayStation 3, Reviews, Xbox 360
God, what a lonely-looking stand they had this game set up on. Look at that. Really?
When it comes down to brass tacks, at least to me, Rock Band and LEGO go together like peanut butter and chitin. After being revealed to discerning eyes during Dan Teasdale’s GDC talk, the game has garnered some attention from puzzled, clueless journos like myself. LEGO Rock Band is a game for the little’uns, principally, tooled to a younger age demographic and given a fresh coat of paint to keep the drooling cretins jamming away on modern pop hits. So if you’re coming in looking for some Pantera, you’ll be disappointed. But I digress.
Hit the jump for some impressions of LEGO: Rock Band.

E3 2009 Idle Speculation: Bayonetta
Posted by Alex Lifschitz Categories:
Bayonetta had been making a few waves even before E3 rolled around this year, what with the tight fitting clothing and the guns in the shoes. But at the conference, the game ended up being the critical darling of many of the journalists that waited patiently in line to play the demo. It’s unusual for a new IP to make such headway on its own merits, but Bayonetta managed to prove itself to us in the best way possible.
Also, breasts. Let’s get that out of the way.
Hit the jump for our breakdown of Bayonetta.
