  • Exclusive design: Limited-edition, one-of-a-kind console was custom designed by the Halo 4 developer, 343 Industries, and Xbox 360.
  • Two custom Halo 4 wireless controllers: With rotating D-pad and blue LED lights.
  • Halo 4 Standard Edition game
  • Exclusive sounds: Hear actual Halo 4 in-game sound effects when console is turned on and when the eject button is pushed.
  • 320 GB hard drive
  • Custom downloadable content: Unique armor skin, unique weapon skin, unique emblem, matching avatar armor, and unique avatar prop.
  • Black Xbox 360 headset

Details of the console were accidentally posted on the Microsoft Store, and have since been pulled, but not before the details above, along with images, were saved. We assume this one will sell for $399 this fall. We've got an image of the controller after the break.

White PS Vita Assassins Creed III

During the Sony E3 Media Briefing, it was announced that the Playstation Vita would be getting a new coat of paint, along with an exlusive bundle. The "crystal white" model will be Wi-Fi-only, and will ship with Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, along with a 4 GB memory card. Pricing has yet to be revealed, but that's probably because the PS Vita Assassin's Creed III bundle won't launch until October 30th, as that's the release date for the game.

Black Wii Box

Continuing the trend of Japanese gamers getting the premium Nintendo goods while us in the US just get to watch, Nintendo is set to release a black over in the Land of the Rising Sun. Sure, it’s the same console, but the Wii and WiiMote are a shiny black, rather than the glossy white we are all used to. Oh, and here’s the box. The black Wii hits Japan store shelves on August 1.

Nintendo has released a Special Edition DS Lite that comes with the software Personal Trainer Cooking. Available in lime green, it also includes a floral pouch and has a price of $149.99. A DSi version is also available in Japan. We wonder who came up with the idea as no mother we know digs cooking all that much or lime green.

God of War: Chains of Olympus

The next installment in the popular Sony franchise God of War, subtitled Chains of Olympus and a prequel to the original God of War, will be debuting on the PSP March 4, 2008. The news may be a little disappointing for some hoping to add the flagship first party title to Sony’s handheld this Christmas, but Sony has also announced that it will be putting out a demo at the end of this month. When the game’s official website launched back in April, Sony included the opportunity for North American gamers to sign up for a special UMD-based demo version prior to the game’s release.

The limited edition demo will include part of a playable level plus extra goodies including behind-the-scenes footage. A copy of the demo without the extras will be released later this year.

Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360As we reported last week the Xbox 360 will be seeing a price drop for each of its three SKUs. The Core model will drop $20 from $299.99 to $279.99, the Premium will drop $50 from $399.99 to $349.99, and the Elite will drop $30 from $479.99 to $449.99. I stand by my statement that this price drop makes little to no sense, because the cost of a Core system plus a 512MB memory card is only $20 less than the Premium now costs.

In related news, the Halo 3 edition Xbox 360’s pricing has finally been revealed to be $399.99. Keep in mind it has a 20GB hard drive, which is what comes with the Premium SKU. The Elite has a 120GB hard drive, which can also be purchased a standalone drive for the steep price of $179.99.

Bear in mind, these price drops don’t go into effect until tomorrow, Wednesday, August 8, and only in the US.
