We just got word from our friends at Xbox LIVE that we’ll be getting the new Fall 2009 Dashboard Update on Monday, which means we’ll be bringing you a preview and walkthrough of all the upcoming Xbox 360 dashboard features, including Twitter, Facebook, Zune instant-on 1080p movies, Last.fm, and more. SOCIAL EXPERIENCES

• Facebook – Now you can compare your Xbox LIVE and Facebook friends lists, update your status to share what movie, game or entertainment you’re enjoying, find friends and view their news feed, status and photos on the big screen – all seamlessly integrated and custom-built for Xbox 360.
• Twitter – Stay in the know by discovering, posting, and replying to Tweets right on your Xbox 360. You can even view friend profiles, trends and conversations, or search to see who’s Tweeting about your favorite game.
• Movie Parties – Watch movies and TV shows with up to seven of your friends through Zune video or Netflix.  Share the experience with voice chat and through your Avatars on the TV screen – it puts a whole new spin on “movie night.”

MOVIES AND TV

• Instant on HD in 1080p – Zune video on Xbox LIVE offers a full high fidelity experience with instant-on HD in 1080p and 5.1 channel surround sound. No waiting for downloads or buffering, it’s there at the press of a button.
• Extended Entertainment – At launch, you can access, watch and share select TV shows and movies where and when you want. Buy it once, download it anywhere - your PC, your Xbox 360 or your Zune HD device.  (U.S. only)
• Enhanced Search– Find your favorite film or TV show at the touch of a button using new, enhanced search functions.

MUSIC

• Last.fm – Turn your Xbox 360 into your living room juke box with a library of more than 3.5 millions songs. Stream personalized radio stations through Xbox LIVE by skipping, “banning” or “loving” songs to tailor the radio station to your tastes – we’ve even built in “Gamer Stations” with music selected specifically for the gaming community. • Music Games Stores– We know the Xbox LIVE community loves music games like “Rock Band,” “Guitar Hero” and “Lips,” and now all your favorite tracks are in one place to purchase and download and even preview the songs right there in the dash. Rock on!
