Xbox 360 Avatar Props

Yeah, in case you forgot, today is the day that the masses (including you) get access to all the fancy new features in the latest Xbox 360 Dashboard Update! I’m talking about things like Netflix Movie Parties, Games on Demand, the Avatar Marketplace, etc. You can get the full scoop on all the updates, both major and minor, at the link below. What we wanna know now, though, is how you are liking it. Let us know in the comments.

Oh, and remember, there is more to come in a couple of months, as we still have Twitter, Facebook, Last.fm, and Zune Marketplace with 1080p instant-on movie streaming to look forward to later this fall.

I was really looking forward to the Account Management Fixing Invalid WLID’s update but either is hasn’t worked or my account is well and truly screwed.

However I noticed in your preview video on YouTube that the words (This feature available shortly after the XBOX live update) were at the end of the description in the Features List so maybe it hasn’t kicked in yet - I hope so.

what is the number in the bar on the top of a players profile?  you either have an orange bar, or an orange bar with swirls or an orange bar with swirls and a number.. i have a one and i know others who have a 3 some people have nothing.. does anyone know

I think it has something to do with the length of time you have been an xbox live member and your status during that time.  i.e. gold member since 3/07, I have a gold bar with the #3.  A friend of mine has been a gold member with the same gamertag on original xbox and he has a gold bar with #4.  Not sure if it explains the swirls but thats what I understand it to mean.

Sorry to crowd this comment section but I would have loved to see ALL the prices in dollars and do away with the microsoft points altogether.  I noticed the 360 games on demand were priced this way and assumed that buying points would be optional after this update.  Unfortunatly, the points are here to stay it appears.  While I am used to the conversion, similar to all other frequent live purchasers, I am annoyed to consistently buy points when the infastructure is already in place to skip and step and just charge my card for the latest impusle purchase at the arcade.
Aside from this slight hiccup in my assumptions of the latest update, I really enjoy the new features to Netflix, avatars, and especially refined achievement searches and navagating.  The menu seems to stall less and that is AWESOME.  Sorry for yelling.

Keep up the techy posting GL

I love it, it’s easier to find things,  finding stuff I just downloaded is only made slightly easier.  Man, Netflix is awesome, it is such a great value and a fantastic cross-media service.  If they could offer their entire library on XBox Live, I’d never leave.  I agree with the points system.  I’d rather just be able to swipe my card, it really seems like the arcades where the change machines only offer tokens - which sucks if coin-op laundry room in your apt complex doesn’t have a change machine - WHAT AM I GONNA DO WITH 10 DOLLARS WORTH OF TILT TOKENS ON A SUNDAY?  ...that was a frustrating episode in my life, I think I need to move back to an area where banks are open on Sundays. - XBox Live ROCKS!
