I hope this kid doesn’t get off easy. No amount of stress would make me want to shoot my parents. I’m pretty sure that goes for most everyone else too. He knew what he did was wrong and hopefully he will get what he deserves. And, of course through all of this, the game of HALO will keep being looked at as the instigator. Not the troubled teen, which is just wrong.

Here we go again. The disappearance and subsequent death of Brandon Crisp sparked outrage against “Call of Duty 4” and the Xbox Live community, and now this ####### - get over it, he shot his parents, he’s a complete and utter ####### - is going to further the cause of the technophobic religious right in their unfounded crusade against new media, because they’re too petty and ignorant to do any proper fact-checking. This, of course, would not be a problem if the majority of their readership were not just as petty and ignorant and actually bothered to do some fact-checking of their own, but that isn’t the case. They’ll gobble up whatever the networks feed them about this story, which will have everything to do with “Halo 3” and video games’ corruption of society, and nothing to do whatsoever with a mindless, twisted young man and his irresponsible parents, one of whom is now dead.

Another sad day, and sad month(s) ahead, for video games and gamers everywhere.

I agree with UglyFido… This is CRAZY….What kid can be so Mad that he would shoot his Parents? The people that raised him and fed him well obviously, and he decied to SHOOT them! All i can say is that is a Disgrace….Only if he was Disabled i would let him off just a LITTLE easy…But i’m sure this guys not disabled so i think he should go to Juvenile. 1-2 Years MAX. Ya get what he deserves!
