Quake Wars PC Demo Coming
Splash Damage, developer for the upcoming multiplayer shooter Enemy Territory: Quake Wars based on the Quake property, announced that it will be releasing a PC demo of the game on Monday, September 10th in anticipation of the game’s October 2nd release in North America.
Quake Wars was originally slated to be released in 2006 but was pushed back to allow for more testing and polish. The game is a team-oriented multiplayer skirmish game that takes place prior to Quake II in the game’s chronology and features objective-based missions, vehicles and full bot support for solo play.
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is due in Europe and Australia September 28th.

I’m still on the fence deciding whether or not I want to go for Quake Wars or Unreal Tournament 3. I really like the look of both of them and I’d rather only dedicate my time and money to a single one. I’ll definitely be getting the demo when it comes out, though. I won’t pass up a chance to try the game.

Wikipedia says “TBA” under everything but PC, Gametrailers has it listed as PC, 360 and PS3. Although I’ve got no idea which is true, if I were to take a guess I’d say they want to release it on all of them but they’re probably only going to have the PC version out by October 2nd.

I know the 360 version is tentatively set to be released early next year and there is a PS3 version in the works. For now only the PC version will be released on Oct. 2.
