Expanded Guitar Hero III Track List Found

A rumor began circulating yesterday that the full and final track list for Activision‘s Guitar Hero III was available. The problem with the list was that while it seemed credible it lacked several bands who had previously announced their involvement with the game, notably Atreyu and Velvet Revolver.
We followed up with one of the original sources yesterday and he confirmed that the list was accurate but perhaps not 100% complete, which would leave room for additional songs to be announced closer to the release date or perhaps even kept under wraps until the game ships. In any case, the selection is shaping up nicely with a few unexpected inclusions.

GH 3 is 110% better than 2. I think “Dancing Through Sunday” would have been a more appropriate AFI song because of the badass solo! But ah! Sooo many good artists on this game.

Ok, I don’t get it. Level 8 they have Raining Blood, Cliffs of Dover, One, and Number of the Beast. Totally understand those and they make total sense. Then, after you get done tearing those up, you do an encore of “The Devil went down to Georgie”. Ok, the song doesn’t even fit in with the other 4 songs first off. Second, it really is not a guitar song AT ALL. Hell, there isn’t even a guitar in a large portion of the song. I mean really, could they not get Jimmy Page to sell the rights to Stairway to Heaven or what? I mean, if he’ll sell Kashmir to friggin P-diddley daddy dog, then he should have zero problem with this! Just my 2 cents.

By far the best Guitar Hero to come out yet. Guns N’ Roses, for the win. I agree though, I had predicted that they would’ve had AC/DC in Guitar Hero 2, let alone GH3. Thunderstruck would have been an excellent choice, but Highway to Hell, Back in Black, Hell’s Bells, Money Talks, and any other great song by them would do as well. By the way, the battle mode is well done, and worth every penny. Well done.

I was the first one in out area to buy the game when it came out… I was knocking down old ladies and jumping over people.... I’m the only girl I know that rocks out with it. But, I love GH3. My PS2’s laser burnt out and something happend with my disk.... I ran out to buy, a new PS2 and they disk wouldn’t play and I almost cried. LOL. I works not and I’m happy to say I’m ok now. But, this one knocks my socks off. I love playing it. I do wish they would put some more metal on it. They kinda stole the soundtrack to Dazed and Confused. But, they need some more Areosmith.
